HPZS Logo NewHeritage Park Zoological Sanctuary is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation and protection of native and exotic animals. Located in scenic Prescott, Arizona, the sanctuary provides a source of recreation, education and entertainment for all ages. With the mission of "Conservation through Education," Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary provides a unique and up-close experience with animals that visitors may see nowhere else. Animals at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary all have a story and lesson to teach.

Situated on ten acres north of Prescott and overlooking Willow Lake, the sanctuary has many opportunities for visitors including a covered picnic pavilion, a children’s playground, and large, naturally landscaped enclosures for the animals with paths that allow visitors the opportunity to get an up-close and personal view of them. HPZS has a variety of unique and interesting exhibits, including the Tarantula Grotto, Wallaby Walk-About (10 am - 4 pm), and Kiwanis Korner Animal Encounter (10 am - 3 pm). Each day, you can catch our Bengal Tiger being fed at 11 am, and Shash, our Black Bear, being fed at 1 pm. Our Splash Pad will also be on between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm, daily.

HPZS is currently on SUMMER HOURS and is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Gray Wolf

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary currently houses two incredibly rare Mexican Gray Wolves. This species is dwindling in the wild, but thanks to the Species Survival Plan (SSP), captive breeding programs and reintroductions into the wild have helped turn the tables. Please visit our partner website (by clicking on the photo) for more information on this amazing animal and what you can do to help!
